MEDIA MOVES: Karis Pearson, Metro UK to PA Media
Video Production Assistant at PA Media
Previous Role: Video Production Assistant at Metro UK
KP: Previously I did freelancing with ITN, Metro and BBC in more niche roles which covered more specific topics like royal news on digital. This role with PA Media is much more varied and very much depends on what’s on the news agenda day to day.
KP: I gained a lot of experience using Adobe Premiere in my last role which is already coming in handy. Now, I’m hoping to hone my camera skills and gain more in-depth knowledge of Premiere Pro – there’s always more to learn!
KP: I think it’s going to be tricky at first just getting to know everybody with so many people still working from home. It’s going to be tougher to integrate and learn from others, but everyone is so friendly and keen to hear my questions so it’s not too much of a worry.
Qwoted is committed to supporting the media by speaking to and highlighting journalists in their exploration of various roles. What changes are ahead? What learnings do you expect to be helpful in this new role?
