MEDIA MOVES: The Wall Street Journal, Nathan Simpson
Previous Role: Fashion Assistant, The Wall Street Journal
New Role: Assistant Fashion Market Editor, The Wall Street Journal
NS: Moving from logistics and facilitation into a more creative position. I now handle the entire RTW market for the magazine. It’s a very external role that has me in close direct contact with the brands and stylists we work with.
NS: A deeper understanding of the fashion network and my market, issue planning, and more of the backend production elements. I expect to hone my extreme attention to detail more than anything else!
NS: Juggling many unique stories and issues all at once will be a challenge. I always feel most rewarded when the images come through and you see all the hard work come to fruition in the picture.
